- 2 medium onions very finely chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to fry pine nuts
- 1 cup rice rinsed and cleaned (round grain rice or basmati)
- 2 cups water
- 4 large fish fillet pieces
- Vegetable oil to fry the fish
- Flour mixture (1 cup flour +1 ts salt + 1 ts cumin + 1 ts black pepper)
- Pinch of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon saffron
- 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric spice
- 1/2 teaspoon white pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 2 tablespoons of pine nuts
- Cover the pieces of fish with flour mixture and fry it, then place it aside.
- Take 4 tbs of fry fish oil and fry the onions in a large cooking pot on high temperature.
- Add all the spices on the onions, stir until change the color of onions to brown.
- Add the water, wait until the water boil, then add the rice and cover the pot.
- After 5 minutes from boiling , low temperature to simmer for 20 minutes .
- After the rice has cooked. Flip your pot on a huge and sturdy serving plate.
- Fry the pine nuts in 2-3 tbsp of vegetable oil until lightly golden.
- Spread evenly pine nuts on top of the Sayadieh in the serving plate.
- Serve with any salad you Favorite and Tahini sauce
